I am just about to write a novel based on a true story about the love that my great aunt had for the valet of her best friend. He, George, used to smuggle her jewelry and her Peke when travelling and not able to swim gave her his life belt as the Lusitania sank. They both survive. My sense is that they never consummated this. But spent a great deal of time with each other. Her children adored him. Two drowned. Do to your piece did they ever talk about how they felt to each other? Did they know how the other felt? Is that enough?

What a fun romp through imagery, obscure and erudite references, and emotions! I'm in your 'B' spectrum and often speculate on how different things would be (better? worse? or merely weird?) if we all wore our heart on our sleeve.

That sounds like a fascinating story!
I can’t wait to explore. I have been immersed in their lives for a decade

Thank you so much for reading, David!
